Im just going to get Killzone this month and Empire Total War next.

Probably a smart move. FEAR 2's a weekend rental at best.

I don't think its even worthy of a weekend rental. I returned Quantum of Solace to pick up Fear 2 and i just hate the game. Its just so boring. I am now used to KZ2 controls so the aiming is weak to me. The scary elements don't scare me they just break up the game and are more of an annoyance than anything. The shooting sucks as the guns have no recoil and no realism whatsoever. Its just a crap game

I'm going to return it today and go for Haze or fallout 3

I suspect you won't get a lot of enjoyment out of Haze, either.
