Okami creator 'disappointed' by Twilight Princess

Okami's Director, Hideki Kamiya, was in Tokyo last week to pick up an Entertainment Award (for his work on Okami, natch) at the 10th Media Arts Festival, which is an event held annually by Japan's Agency for Cultural Affairs. Kamiya was asked how he felt about Nintendo's Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, and he explained:

"To be frank, I was disappointed when I saw [Twilight Princess'] visuals. I'm a Zelda freak -- it's no overstatement to say that I created Okami because of Zelda. I really wanted [Twilight Princess] to have that regal aura, because Zelda was what we were aspiring to..."

The story is too old to be commented.

now your argument isnt really VALID, you have to play TP, before you judge.

TP:isnt dissapointing at all, there are places in the game that look amazing.
the theme is just darker then the other zelda games.

Okami, is also great, full with colours.

zelda isnt dissapointing, nor is okami.
they are both good in their own way.

( the first time i saw okami i was dissapointed too but playing it gave me a different opinion)

I haven't played either but I do want to pick up Okami. It looks spectacular but I need to play it and see how that intertwines with the aesthetic beauty.
