As we all know the Playstation 2 introduced some rather cool new IP's during the last gen console generation. And while some of these gaming hits have made there way to the next gen consoles there still seems to be more great titles that should be harnessed on the Playstation 3. The Playstation 3 has definitely introduced some new concepts since launch and in 2009 we are already seeing some incredible new games releasing in the not so distant future. However, it would be cool to see certain titles from the Playstation 2 era which could really use a face lift utilizing the capabilities of the Playstation 3.
Game Rant interviews Plants vs. Zombies composer Peter McConnell about honoring the series’ quirky roots, adapting its themes, and now going vinyl.
The score for the first Plants Vs Zombies is such great, iconic music that it has a timeless quality. Not quite the level of Minecraft, but wonderful in its own right.
Celebrate Final Fantasy IX's 25th anniversary with the latest merchandise, including figurines of Zidane and Vivi, and a range of t-shirts.
The Mass Effect series is all about freedom and making the right choices for a given playthrough, but there are still some guidelines worth following.
3 of the titles named have sequels in the works for PS3 (twisted metal, ico and sotc).
Mark of Kri was ok but nothing special. Seeing how good the GOW series is in comparison i wouldn't be bothered by a new game in the franchise.
However a next-gen follow up to SR: Legacy of kain will get me interested
Zone of the Enders, TimeSplitters, Summoner, Grandia, FFX totally redone.
Second Sight.
TimeSplitters.
Psi-Ops.
FirePro Wrestling (online play + being able to trade CAWs over PSN)
Rise to Honor (the first one wasn't great, but it was decent)
Fatal Frame (yeah, I know it's going to the Wii, but come on, seriously?)
ICO AND SOTC!
6 other franchises/games that I would like to see revisited on the PS3:
Hitman
Jak and Daxter
BLACK
Vigilante 8 (my second favorite car combat game after Twisted Metal)
Max Payne
Syphon Filter
But I totally agree with Shadow of the Colossus and ICO though. I'd love to see a Shadow of the Colossus or ICO re-make with even bigger worlds, and/or a direct continuation of the story from SoTC or ICO.
