Gamespot Review: Grand Theft Auto IV: The Lost and Damned

Gamespot: "Downloadable content isn't something that we review right now, but that doesn't mean that we don't have anything to say about a release as significant as the first downloadable episode for Grand Theft Auto IV. If you've come here looking for a recommendation on whether or not you should buy The Lost and Damned, the short answer is that if you enjoyed GTA IV I can't think of a better way for you to spend $20 when it hits Xbox Live tomorrow. If you want to know exactly what's included in the download, then keep reading. I had an opportunity to play through the entire Johnny Klebitz storylineusing an advance copy of the DLC on one of our debug consoles last week, and I promise I'll try to keep the spoilers to a minimum."

I couldn't tell if they liked it are but it looks solid for 20 bucks.

majorsuave3530d ago

Indeed, Can't wait for the day to be over (and it's not even 9) to get home to download it.

Montrealien3530d ago

If you enjoyed GTA4, wich is pretty much a 25 000/1 ratio compared to the total of N4G users. It seems to be well worth the 20$.

v1c1ous3530d ago

and bought it back for shivering isles. it was worth every microsoft point.

i also turned GTA4 into gamestop. i don't think i'm going to go back for another copy even with this DLC.

Bob Dole3530d ago

Bob Dole did the same with GTA, had to do it quick before they started paying like $10 for it. He might buy it again when they're overstocked with used copies for cheap as hell just because it is fun to drive around and kill people... that's about it though.

Montrealien3530d ago

I never traded GTA4 in cause I just don't do that for any of my games, I will gladly fork up the 20$ to see how this DLC is, I am about half way through the Niko story and this might encourage me to finish. However why you two decided to say what you did just boggles my mind, why come to a story you don't care about boggles my mind. E-peen is so full of fail it breaks my heart.

They can't please everyone, so they decide to go with the majority.

Sell-outs.

Montrealien3530d ago

yeah, that must be it. How are the tin-foil hats fitting? Better add another layer, the man is out to get you with his MS rays.

Omegasyde3529d ago

Wow I didn't know the "man" was a microsoft employee.

Here you go Monta, breaken down "barney style":

I M Bashing GameSPOT, NOT Microsoft.

"Downloadable content isn't something that we review right now, but since it's an xbox dlc and we're gamespot, we'll do it..."

gamespot is unbelievable....

TheIneffableBob3530d ago

Yeah, something tells me that you didn't read the article.

Oh, maybe it's the fact that they DIDN'T review it?

Ghoul3530d ago

at least if your using quotes "" then use the real one instead of making up your own, wich isnt true.

"Downloadable content isn't something that we review right now, but that doesn't mean that we don't have anything to say about a release as significant as the first downloadable episode for Grand Theft Auto IV"

thats the real quote. Its no review but a article.

Danja3530d ago

but there are way better games to wasting time on than..GTA4 IMO.....got stale in a lil over a month...

Bob Dole3530d ago
