PlayStation Universe Tekken 6 Interview

The Tekken series is back in 2009, bigger and better than ever, according to Project Director Katsuhiro Harada. Harada took time out his busy schedule for an exclusive interview with Playstation Universe where he gives us the lowdown on the new gameplay modes, features, and environments.

The story is too old to be commented.

Only to know that they could also have been cheaper off. Fcuk namco for doing this to them.

That being said, this game is not as good as I expected it to be. If I buy it, I will probably purchase it for my 360. But the graphics are gonna have to improve big time. Just look at KZ2, a larger game, released earlier AND looks better.

I concur. Soul Calibur IV looks better at this point. Considering it came out last year

PSU: You’ve worked closely with Sony consoles in the past, and TEKKEN 6 was the first arcade game released to use the Playstation 3-based System 357 arcade board. Does this mean that PS3 users can expect a superior version of the game (in comparison to Xbox 360 users)?

The game was programmed on PS3 architecture and specifically designed to make full use of the Cell’s SPU. So it’s going to be a big challenge to bring the game to the Xbox 360.

BS. The reason Tekken is coming to the 360 is sbecause Microsoft paid for it to come to the 360. Microsoft wants all 3rd party games multiplatform so exclusives and price are the only factors in choosing the PS3 or the 360.

The PS hardware made Tekken successful. BS if that's the case it would have came out a while ago and you would have ported the game to 360 down the road.

However, I'm still looking forward to the game, and I hope it's a fun as the other Tekken's (with less juggling, and popping people off the ground back into the air)

Tekken rocks... cant wait for the game. MS may have paid, it also may have been overwhelming fan requests, but at the end of the day Tekken will be multiplatform and superior on the PS3. Noone has seen a multiplatform game that utilizes the SPU's like they are supposed to.
