Closures Will Affect 50% of CompUSA Stores

CompUSA has confirmed that it is shutting down 126 of its stores, about 50% of its U.S retail base.

The stores will be closed up over the next three months, as the company attempts to shore up its best performing outlets. CEO Roman Ross said, "Based on changing conditions in the consumer retail electronics markets, the company identified the need to close and sell stores with low performance or non-strategic, old store layouts and locations faced with market saturation.
