"A proverbial boatload of game spaces - including spaces for Warhawk, SOCOM, Resistance, and many, many more (we’ll announce more spaces in the coming weeks)...
Of course, you’re all aware of the EA Sports Complex. But let’s just say that is coming sooner rather than later. And it’s cooler than you imagined.
These spaces will usher in the next phase of Home. They will begin to utilize this uber-powerful platform’s true capabilities. We’re talking unlocking items in the games you play from Home (and vice versa), mini-games that take full advantage of the Sixaxis controller, game launching integration. The whole shebang! "
only the beginning... HOME will be a completly different place by this time next year. I think we will be looking at something that just about everyone will enjoy in the future.
Picture frames did exist during the earlier beta. I was thinking they removed them to keep people from putting inappropriate pics in.
Game launching also did exist in the earlier beta for all games. So I am thinking when these things are added back HOME will be one of the best extra features of the PS3...

You do understand Sony thinks all you ps3 owners are a bunch of sissy's who want to run around in a virtual home buying virtual furniture now you do understand don't you. How old are you do you need a virtual doll to run around with to dress it up. Seriously droids wake up your being laughed at.
I'm hoping some of that "very very soon" means soemthing for tomorrow... and Killzone II HOME Space in time for it's launch.... AMD SOCOM Home Space too?!?! *spazes out with information and excitment over load*
yea i haven't really touched it, for me its only good when i want to play a good game of chess or bowling or pool, other than that its still a beta with not too much to do yet, sony got me f***** up if they think im gunna pay my money for a grill or a teddy bear. : /
I i dint't read anything about party systems/party chat or cross game chat. Thats disappointing. I had high hopes for home but then they removed the best feature home had, which was the proximity voice chat, then I realized that all of home could be experienced in 10 minutes. Hopefully these spaces and rooms will add some much needed entertainment to home.
"See, we weren’t lying when we said we were going to make good on our word to you all.
We appreciate your patience while we make the final tweaks to ensure that all of this is smooth as can be. And we appreciate you diehards keeping the faith while the naysayers pretended like the Beta launch was the be-all, end-all of Home. No way, no how." -------
I'm overjoyed to hear that major progress is around the corner - I've been doubtful about Home's value as an addition to my XMB, let alone a social network, but I would love to be proven wrong.
And that's a valuable contribution of 'naysayers': we provide a foil for the unbridled optimism of the blindly brand-loyal consumer and give developers and companies a good reason not to get lazy.
Just because I bought a PS3 does NOT mean I will blindly accept that Sony is infallible in everything they do, and happily consume everything they are pleased to spoon-feed me. Because while many people point out that Home is a free service; I also note that over a million dollars has already been made in profits from the Home stores - from a beta, no less.
Home was never an altruistic enterprise - corporations are not charities and they will only give you something for free if they think they can make money doing it.
So anyone considering Home as though it's some kind of reward to loyal Sony fans (and this Home manager obviously wants to frame it that way) clearly isn't a fan of rational thinking. It's another product, plain and simple; and if doubting its relative value to me as a customer makes me a naysayer, so be it.
Wow ! Some seriously good news!
Picture frames coming, more music, more avatar gear, plenty of game spaces. And EA sport centre coming sooner then expected? wha? wha? wha?
/Excited
Still no t.v's or stereo's for the apartments tho :(
