SlapStic.com reveals its list of the top 100 xbox 360 games of all time. The absolutely epic list is in alphabetical order, which breaks the mold created by other such lists.
That list is EPIC. Great list of older and newer games. Lots of sequels were included, but only ones that really deserved it. Fantastic list overall...
Yeah I don't guess you could have excluded Gears 2 if you put Gears. Good list.
To go along with the thought on sequels being included, one would also have to consider the fact that if someone tries a game on the list and likes it, they're likely to want to play more games from that franchise. Just a thought.
I do kinda object to both versions of Viva Pinata making the list. They're both pretty much the same game.
I agree about the Viva Pinata. Also, WHERE THE HELL IS MADDEN?
That was creative. Is it possible to give you NO bubbles?
I don't get it.
He's just an all-too-common fanboy I suppose. Very lame.
i hate fanboys....
Oh wow. Epic win here. I had forgotten that there actually were 100 good games for the 360.
Yeah if I remember right there have been over 100 games with a review score average of 80 or above for a while now.
There are lots of games with averages below 80 on that list though. They're still great, though.
The one thing that concerns me about this list is the obvious fact that there will still be plenty of great games coming out in the future for the console. The lifespan of the 360 isn't anywhere NEAR over.
You're absolutely right and I can assure you that once the 360 reaches the end of its life cycle, SlapStic will add on to the list, bringing it to 150, 200, or whatever is required to give credit to every great game in its epic library.
This list=Win. Very funny as well.
Yeah the jokes in the genre description are great.
New Banjo is gooood. Never would have thought it'd make lists before it came out.
Braid FTW! Love that game...
Terrible terrible games. Just the absolute worst, why does every Xbox 360 game have to have the absolute worst stories implemented this Gen in gaming.
get back under your bridge troll
I own a 360, I use it regularly as a foot stool and a pilot light for my fireplace.
haha this guy's hilarious
Wow, a lot of great memories on that list. BTW can't wait for Forza 3-just thought I would throw that in there.
Wow, can anyone recommend me some good first gen 360 games?
perfect dark zero wasnt that bad for a launch title. Table tennis was fun also.
Was Oblivion first gen? Probably not, but it came out before I had a 360... : ) And I guess it's multiplatform now...
goto gamerankings.com, then search under xbox 360, and put 2005 in the timeframe, or even 2006. There are PLENTY of good ones. PGR3 is fun, so is dead or alive 4. take a look for yerself.
Great list, with Braid coming to PSN this year,Ps3 owners will FINALLY understand why the game is such highly rated
PS3 version was never confirmed, it was sadly only speculated on. PC port is set for 2009 though.
But most PS3 users probably have PC's, so...
what a sh1tty list.
Going through it I realized that I've played almost every game on the list yet I still want more!
see lost oddesey
It's just like any other 360 games list. Lame.
don't know why, I thought this would be an exclusives list starting from launch. I know multi-plats count as a game on the system and all... But why list multy-plats in a 360, PS3, or even a Wii, games list? I just don't get it. Especially if more than half the list is multy-plat.
3/4 of the list would be the same for PS3 due to all the multiplats and franchise sequels hopping to multiplat status. Not even a mention of EDF2017 (which is insulting) or The Maw. Agree with XBLA titles, some strong ones in there, but mainly remakes/ports. But hey, if the 360 succeeds in something the most, it appears to be an emulator, at least its relatively quiet doing that.
What are you talking about? Earth Defense Force 2017 was, and is, awesome! It's not a graphical masterpiece and it's not revolutionary in any way but guess what? It's FUN as hell! =) *edit* - LOL! I'm sorry, I misread your comment. Thought you bashed EDF2017.
