Weekend Musing: DLC Expansions–Good or Bad?

"Over the past month, we've been hearing more and more information come out about downloadable content expansions to some big titles: Fable 2 got "Knothole Island" and Fallout 3 received "Operation Anchorage". I don't think it's that cut and dry. They have to have something to them to be something good.

I'll say it. I, for one don't care about this DLC. Yes, I have a PS3. And yes, I am aware that this is 360 exclusive DLC, but in all honesty, there's really no reason for me to go crazy over it. It's not that I'm a PS3 fanboy (I'm not. Just read my blog), but I guess I really don't care all that much about the story in GTAIV. I know that "The Lost and Damned" is an entirely different story without Nico Bellic, but that's really all it is, and as I've mentioned before, I don't care all that much about the game's story. In an open city with few limitations, the only DLC I'd go crazy over would have to be an addition of more cheats, or maybe if they brought the Katana back.
