IGN: Commander in Chief Review

Simply put, the game isn't also well-tuned to today's political realities. Running a budget deficit of about $700 billion got IGN in trouble, even though the real-world president just inherited a budget deficit that's projected to be over $1 trillion. Throw in the seemingly random, monumental events that happen in the game (Japan and China suddenly go to war with no warning; then the UK and Russia; etc, etc.) and it's difficult to take this as a serious simulation of global politics.

The results found that 36% of the respondents reported that they believed they would personally make for a better Prime Minister.

Gamepyre: Commander in Chief: Geo-Political Simulator 2009 Review

Gamepyre writes: "Do you know who Barack Obama is? If that name is not familiar to you I can assure you that even without opening the box to Commander in Chief - GEO - Political Simulator 2009 that you will not like this game.

Political simulator games are rare enough and for a good reason: most of the time they are extremely boring. As a gamer I am curious about most games, as a reviewer I'm required to review as many games as possible and considering that I actually had a blast taking my two government classes in college, I don't see any reason as to why not review this game."
