Previously a very popular online game, Sally's Salon is a quirky, pick-up-and-play adventure. Similar in feel and design to Cake Mania, the game features a setting that rarely appears in gaming-the beauty salon. Players control the eponymous Sally, who dreams of one day owning a "coast to coast salon chain." To help Sally realize her dream, players manage her flow of customers and their salon requests, while keeping them happy and on time.
TMA: As an avid casual gamer and a fan of time management games in particular, I was delighted to grab Sally’s Salon at its bargain price. The star of several time management games, Sally is quite the entrepreneur.
The term "casual games" is somewhat misleading. The term could be used for a game of any genre that is aimed at an audience that usually doesn't usually play video games, but over the years, it has come to encompass only one of two game genres: puzzle and strategy. Games like Bejeweled, Peggle and Tetris are some recent examples of puzzle titles that have dominated the hearts and minds of casual gamers.
