Frontline Gaming Japan has compiled a list of Japanese games to look out for in the second half of this year.
Hideo Kojima’s Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater is receiving a full remake in later this year. Slated to release on August 25, 2025, the new Unreal Engine 5 remake aims to be the most faithful remake of Kojima’s PS2 masterpiece, even including its more risqué elements.
However, prior to the game’s release, Konami will release a brand-new Metal Gear Solid Production Hotline episode to discuss the future of the stealth-action series.
Ninja Gaiden 4 release date has been confirmed for October 21, 2025, along with details on the deluxe edition and pre-order bonuses.
TSA plays some Sonic Racing Crossworlds
I am excited to play Sonic Crossworlds but I think the price tag is a bit too high. The typical Sonic game cost between $40 to $60 but Crossworlds is $70.
Unless they are prepared to give is something that is Mario kart level in terms of content, I think they need to reconsider the price to be about $60 at most.
I’ll probably end up buying every game on this list for myself besides Pokémon and Sonic but I may get those for my children.
Im glad the Japanese game scene is making a comeback! Right when the western one may be contracting.
