Sales of the Nintendo Switch 2 have reportedly broken records in France, doubling launch figures of the PS5 with over 200,000 units sold.
From GamesReviews:"Street Fighter 6 finally makes its debut on Nintendo’s powerful new hardware, the Nintendo Switch 2, and the result is an impressive, if slightly trimmed, version of Capcom’s acclaimed fighter that still packs a serious punch."
MonsterVine: "Nintendo Switch 2 Welcome Tour may look like a glorified tech demo, but it delivers a surprisingly deep and educational experience that’s worth the small price."
"Ashwood Valley is a new cosy farming game, developed and published by RedDeer.Games and released on June 5th for the Nintendo Switch. Plant crops, befriend animals and work towards saving your sibling, who has been turned into a cat. I played it on the Switch as well as Switch 2 and can confirm that the game runs well on both of them." Charlie @ Thumb Culture
Is anyone surprised?
Not surprised at all. PS5 had severe supply constraints and cost more than the Switch 2.
Not surprising,
I had to pull all my resource to get a Xbox and PS5 and it still took me a couple of months after release to get one.
I went to the store and saw a switch 2 right there lol.
I feel like gamers and gaming journalist have short term memories man.
Covid severely held back Xbox and PS5 for the first year
I really hope there are a bunch of scalpers who bought loads of stock, only for Nintendo to absolutely flood the market nearer launch. I hate scalpers with a passion!
Personally, I love Nintendo games so my decision to jump in early was for MarioKart and to start replaying a bunch of my favourite Switch games. I have ploughed over 25 hours into Breath of the Wild since last Thursday, I am absolutely enthralled by it all over again!!!
