Sounds like the reviewer was expecting a more modern game, and disliked the game for what it wasn't instead of what it was. Not a great way to review things tbh.
All I can say is I’m f*cking stoked for this, it’s my fave in the series, and I’m blowing my Memorial Day Weekend on getting the platinum. I highly encourage anyone interested to really give this a chance. It’s an excellent game and look up other reviews if you’re on the fence after seeing this review.

The reviewer was basically complaining that nothing had changed gameplay wise, whining about how he’s never been a fan of fixed camera angles, and comparing the combat system to modern action games.
He completely missed the point, the remaster was never meant to be changed in any way.
TNS: Onimusha 2: Samurai's Destiny 2 is an excellent remaster with many QoL features and new additions, but it still carries that old-school jank.
