Game Informer spoke with Clair Obscur: Expedition 33's composer about creating 154 songs over five years for the game and being discovered on SoundCloud.
Jay Ku says: "Grief looms over us all, and the Dessendre family knows it well." This feature contains heavy spoilers.
Sandfall: "Expeditioners,
We have just rolled out a patch, and uploaded our first ever items to the Steam Points Shop! You have some unique Trading Cards to choose from, alongside a series of emoticons. We hope you love them!"
I still haven't go this game yet but it's good to know that I'll play a much-improved version whenever I get around to it. A lot of people loved the game before so I imagine it'll be an even better experience now (and in the future).
You’d think the hype has died down, but nothing could be further from the truth. As it turns out, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 was among Steam’s Top 3 best-sellers in May 2025. And it is not stopping!
And quite likely to soon be among some of the best composers in gaming, it's going to take something really special to stop him winning awards, one of the greatest gaming soundtracks ever made imho.
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 Soundtrack will EASILY win the GOTY Award for Best Score and Music!
My personal GOTY this year!
Honestly they did a phenomenal job, and I feel like the final boss theme is as epic as one winged angel for this generation.
