This is saying that Microsoft will give you 66% of your time left in GP Core towards your GPU membership if you upgrade. The rate was 60% and now it has been increased to 66%.

Killa7848d ago

Its decreased from 66% to 50, no?

Eonjay48d ago

Going from 3:2 (60%) to 2:1 (66%) is a 6% increase if I am reading this correctly.

GamerRN48d ago (Edited 48d ago )

Going from 3:2 (66%) to 2:1 (50%) is a decrease, increase in cost for the conversion.

So if you had 3 years you used to get 2 years. Now 3 years will get you 1.5 years

DodoDojo48d ago

How is 2/3 60%? And how is 1/2 66%?

If I had 3 year of core.
Before: Converts to 2 years.
Now: Converts to 1 and half years.

It has decreased, not increased

Eonjay48d ago

Thank you I was reading it completely wrong! My bad

darthv7248d ago

they really should offer a discount for those who want to pay annually instead of monthly / quarterly.

LastAvenger48d ago

This above all absolutely needs to happen.

anast48d ago

They will. They are seeing what they can get out of the monthlies first.

Bathyj48d ago

Am I understanding this correctly?
So if you have 100 days on your course subscription left and you upgrade to ultimate they give you 66 days of ultimate before renewing your subscription?

Wtf is that about? Give the 100 days why be such a tight ass. If you upgrade on PS plus you get the same amount of days you just pay the extra.

As usual it's just Microsoft throwing around numbers confusing everyone to their true meaning. I thought the article was saying the ratio of quarter ultimate gamers was 3.2 before and now it's 2.1 that's not what this is.

Knushwood Butt48d ago

'If you upgrade on PS plus you get the same amount of days you just pay the extra.'

Yup.

What MS is doing isn't very consumer friendly.

DodoDojo48d ago (Edited 48d ago )

"So if you have 100 days on your course subscription left and you upgrade to ultimate they give you 66 days of ultimate"

Now you would have 50 days of ultimate. t's 2.1 ratio, so 2 days of core = 1day of ultimate.

They're doing this because people were taking advantage of it by buying up cheap Core codes from other countries where its cheaper and then converting them.

--Onilink--48d ago

Its just 2 methods for doing arguably the same thing

PS Basic 100 days , you PAY to upgrade the difference to the next tier, keep 100 days total.

Xbox Core 100 days, you DONT pay anything extra to upgrade, but your total amount of days is now matched to how many you would have based on the price of Ultimate.

The only change (for the worse) now is that previously it would have kept 66% of the amount of time you had and now its 50%, but again, you aren’t actually paying anything extra at the time of the upgrade.

This is not the only service that pro rates this way

This is welcomed, i like a less cluttered home screen.

Onimusha 2: Samurai's Destiny review - Design of the Times | TechStomper

"Onimusha 2: Samurai's Destiny feels stuck between 2025 and 2002. Not quite enough of the past to be pure nostalgia, and not enough of the present to feel fresh."
