That show had everything going for it, and it all pointed to a dumb call of duty reveal.
I agree. When cod was suspiciously absent from the show I thought Acti was gonna hold a separate shoe for it. Nope that 1 more thing was just cod again.
I guess from an investors point of view they always roll out the red carpet for COD considering the money it makes. I remember Sony shows did the same thing with cod.

Yea .... the first half of the trailer had me thinking Quantum Break 2 .... and not the annual CoD and that too not the mainline one but rather the mini-sequel not unlike MWIII.
Sorta ... but I am excited for the next year's one exclusively.
Its gonna be from Infinity Ward. And they're to introduce the next IW engine for current-gen only. Likely similar visual overhaul to CoD they did with MW'19. It was a big leap from previous CoDs to MW.
It'll stay interesting for next few years since next-gen will arrive by 2027, after which it'll again get boring.
This Black Ops 7 will still use the existing IW engine and will still be cross-gen.
During this trailer I was like wait, did they even show Call of Duty? Surely, this is CoD then. Then the guy in the trailer said "Mason" and confirmed yep its Black Ops 7.
the last COD i actually put some hours in was black ops 1, already at 7 god damn....
Microsoft will probably not only do this with COD, but other games too. Nintendo paved the way with their expansions only being available to their subscribers.
err...isn't the aim of expansions for online content are to have as many audience as possible? why limit access like this and not only reserve items for Battle Pass users?
