MindsEye Gameplay Leaks Online, Showing GTA-Like Features

Gameplay footage of MindsEye leaks online one month before its release, showing strong similarities to the GTA games.

Looks generic. Like 2010 style open world shooter mechanics. Underwhelming graphics and presentation. Stiff movements. Empty open world driving.

Last month or so they wanted ppl to pre order the game with out no gameplay shown. Now I see why. Get the money now up front get ppl hyped "look we made GTA!" take the money and use GTA devs as a marketing tool. This got leaked I think this was controlled leaked 100% because the streamer watching is praising the game and Super excited. He had to have gotten paid. The comments on Twitter were saying how bad the game looks, the opposite. Plus how come they themselves haven't released gameplay footage? Again a month away and no official gameplay footage from the team?

I could be wrong about all this but this screams deceptive marketing with paid off streamer who's super hyped for it.

I think this game will bomb. I say delay it and rework everything.

They have shown off gameplay, in a very controlled way though. It's very hidden and shrouded in cutscenes. I will still be getting it, because it looks to have a solid base for what they could add on to it in the future. All great games start off somewhere and it's not always perfect from the start. As long as the story is good, and the mechanics work as they should, I can get through it if it's generic. There's been plenty of generic action shooter games out there that was still good overall because of the story. Binary Domain and Spec Ops come to mind when I think of generic shooting games that were still great to me.

I'm glad I got Spec Ops. It was delisted not long after I did. Same thing with Marvel UA 1 and 2.

Can something be generic when there are next to no single player third person shooters released anymore?

It's going to be a linear open world GTA-like adventure. I think it looks decent enough. Plus it's coming out this year instead of 2026. If you don't wanna play it that's on you. A lot of us are looking forward to it.

The footage makes it feel like the camera is following behind the car on wheels.. What is it with developers and swaying cameras or erratic movements? I hate it, reminds me of Dead Island or that other game that tried to be like GTA called APB.. This already puts me off.

This comes out in a month? We hardly know anything about it, I assumed the footage we did have was super early stuff as in why we hadn't seen much of it and explained why it felt like it was shrouded in secrecy.

My main thing with open world games like this, is will it have the means for having fun and messing around. Honestly just playing with the sandbox is what i spent most hours in the GTA series doing.

Yeah, based on that and the recent gameplay leaks, it looks like the open world just serves a purpose of getting for a mission to mission, kind of like the mafia games

its from one of the former makers of GTA, so you might as well enjoy it because who knows when GTA 6 will come out at this point

I want to believe.

I love so much about this game it's concept and style are right up my alley and it's studio head being such a driving force behind some of the greatest games of the last two decades.

But it's execution does concern me. I'll wait for reviews but I'm tempted even though it looks dated in the animation department and clearly lacking in a few things I can honestly forgive all of that if the story is good enough.

I feel like they have missed a great opportunity to launch on the switch 2 early as owners of new systems tend to buy more games and experiment with new titles they otherwise ignore

Hey…,it’s 60 dollars and from what I’ve seen looks good. More importantly it plays solid and looks fun. With games jumping up in price this is a good value from what we’ve been shown so far. Hopefully that stays true.

I think they made the right choice putting this up for sale this year before that juggernaut GTA VI.

Might actually help it’s sales for those itching for it
