They absolutely will they always drop bad news right before the June showcase I bet they are waiting until after doom to do it.

Already one leaker hinting at it

"Already one leaker hinting at it"

I could be that leaker. Lol

It´s *obvious* that Gamepass prices will increase in the future like everything else.

But the fact that they haven´t yet shows that they don´t have plans to increase its price yet, which is awesome for us, Gamepass subscribers.

lukasmain21h ago

Yes. This submission shouldn't have even been allowed. Talk about making a mountain out of a molehill or a... LOLHILL. Sorry, I'll just grab my coat on my way out. But before I leave, this is just speculation not rumor. I mean reading into a "lol" are they fkn serious?

darthv721d 5h ago

...and even if they do, I will still sub to it as [to me] its the best deal in town if you just want to play a large selection of games with no commitments.

people that want to grumble and complain about no ownership... yeah. that is what i mean by no commitments. And nothing is stopping me from buying the occasional title if it suits my fancy. i do that now already.

S2Killinit16h ago

Do you also own a hummer by any chance?

rob-GP17h ago

Why would they wait until AFTER Doom? They'll do it just before, as they know people will pay to subscribe to play the game - just like how they always remove the $1 offer just before a big title launches

MrDead1d 17h ago

MS buying up some of the industries biggest publishers, IP's and removing competition between major publishers means $80 games are here. This is MS saying to gamers, f**k you pay me if you want to keep playing the IP's you love.

This is what happens when more and more is owned by fewer and fewer and it's not going to stop at $80. No doubt now MS has opened the flood gates others will follow.

Thanks MS for endless proving that you're the worst.

slate911d 15h ago

With that logic, didn't nintendo open the flood gates for the $80 price tags? Lol

crazyCoconuts1d 15h ago

Even worse, chickens, for what they're doing to those egg prices!

Obscure_Observer1d 14h ago

"This is what happens when more and more is owned by fewer and fewer and it's not going to stop at $80. No doubt now MS has opened the flood gates others will follow."

Your ignorance and hypocrisy knows no bounds.

Nintendo started this $80 trend, just like Sony started the $70 price for games, but no one here ever heard you call them out.

ravens521d 13h ago

Sony didn't start the $70 price tag, Take 2 did with the release of NBA 2k21 in August of 2020. Get your facts right Observing Obscurely

Obscure_Observer1d 13h ago

@raven52

Yes, they did. With ALL of its first party games!

rob-GP17h ago

Your ignorance and hypocrisy knows no bounds...

2k started the $70 increase, not Sony

S2Killinit16h ago

Imagine obscure telling people about ignorance and hypocrisy

Chevalier15h ago

Damn looks like idiots don't check FACTS. 2k started the $70 followed by Gearbox, Activision and EA. Sony was the FIFTH publisher to release $70 games. Guess you don't know how to use Google. Lol.

MrDead14h ago

Nintendo Isn't out yet, $70 was Take 2

Your ignorance and hypocrisy knows no bounds.

This is what happens when you allow one company to buy up a huge part of the industry, they control the price. Look at any industry you want, when more and more is owned by fewer and fewer you get these price rises. You're defence of MS over devs, games and gamers is pathetic.

@MrDead

"Nintendo Isn't out yet, $70 was Take 2"

Nintendo isn´t out yet.?

That´s your lame attempt to damage control to try and defend Nintendo? Have you ever heard of pre-orders, dude? People already PAID $80 for Switch 2 games, Einstein!!!

Take 2? Take 2 is NOT a console developer! It´s a third party publisher, genius!

So yes, out of the big three CONSOLE manufactures, which is: Nintendo, Sony and Microsoft, Sony was the first one who started the $70 price tag trend for FIRST PARTY games! Period!

You can deny and twist reality all you want! Those are the fact!

Chevalier11h ago

That's an absolutely idiotic take. Regardless Sony did NOT start the trend like you claim. That would be like my blaming Xbox because Activision started $70 games before Sony so it's now Xbox fault as they are part of Xbox. See how dumb that sounds? Making you sound more like an uninformed idiot more by the day.

Sorry by your logic we can go back and actually say Xbox did it first because Activision is Xbox.

MrDead8h ago

I was going to reply to you, but Chevalier did the job.

You think MS buying and firing, stagnating the industry and ripping off gamers is a good thing, I don't.

Stop worshiping those who destroy devs lives... though I do have to thank Xbox owners, thanks to your unwillingness to buy games you did knacker MS's plans to ban multiplatform games from gamers.

The tarrifts should not impact subscription costs it is already high as it is right now.

ocelot071d 12h ago

Everything is going to go up. MS only 6 months ago or so changed GP where you needed ultimate if you want all day 1 games. Wouldn't be surprised if by the end of the year they raise the price to $25-$30. Wouldn't be surprised if Sony also raise the price of ps+ and Nintendo doing it for their sub.

Fonsecap1d 7h ago

The price adjustments were justified,by them, because of trump's tariffs. Is game pass also affected by tariffs, it's a survive not a end product?
