Oh I agree with you, I was just trying to make the point that it should be expected. There's always going to be two sides to everything, you have night/day, early/late, love/hate, praiser/bashers.

It's just a fact of life. But, how many times have we been let down by things we see because the full product didn't live up to the hype. It's like the press telling people what they want the people to hear but not the whole story. I'm the type of person what usually just waits to see what will come of it.

As a PS3 & Xbox 360 owner, I know the truth. Don't let this article sway you either way. The game looks great.... no amazing, but I wouldn't put it streets ahead of the competition. Maybe a bumper, but the streets and CARS looked equally as immpressive in Project Gothem for the 360. So if the article was comparing it to anything that we've seen on a sony console then yes its the best, but as far as saying that it's streets ahead of all of it competition then I have to write this off as another fanboy tale!

I had Project Gotham Racing 3 and im sorry but that game looks weak, very weak!. I got rid of it, i couldnt. It barely looked better than the Xbox versions and had mad texture pop-in and only 30fps, weak, very weak! the graphics are hardly impressive. The only thing that looked really good, is when you are in your garage, other than that, i dont think so

If not on par with PGR 3 then slightly better graphics wise IMO (I don´t wanna get called a liar just because I state my opinion). Come on...GT HD is nowhere near smoking out all competition. What´s up with the dashboard view? There´s no dashboard view? Anyways there´s also stuff like Colin McRae: Dirt, Sega Rally, Burnout Dominator coming up so it´s not like GT HD is the one and only game.

my forza 2, I could care less about a driving simulator, I enjoy racing with damage, multiple cars on the screen at once, force feed back wheel.

And all driving games look close to the same now anyways.

Forza set the bar as the best racing series, gt is playing catch up now, so before they can claim it's streets ahead it should try to match the competition.

Bro, I think Forza 2 is going to be awesome too, but why do you need to make that comment here when the news is about GT HD.....I know we all love doing comparisons, but why not save your comment for articles are specifically about comparing games or wait until a PS3 fan is actually "bad mouthing" Forza 2, -it would be a whole lot more appropriate in those situations don't you think?

I made the comment to refute the idea that GTHD is streets ahead of the competition. Calling a game with little options streets ahead because of small graphical advancements, isn't justifiable. If comparing another game in attempting to disprove the op is not necessary then by all means I digress, and would withdraw my statement.

Do you know how much effort they put into Gran Turismo games? I was mad that they were going to just release an enchanced version of Gran Turismo 4, with not much of work, in high-definition. Yet they decided to give it free, which is a GREAT thing.

Now we know that they are working on GT5, it will take time, and I don't expect to see it anytime before 2008, but it was the right decision. Comparing PGR3 and GTHD, I think that graphics pretty much match, anyone praising PGR3 or GTHD over the other one, would be sadly a fanboy blinded by fanboi-virus.

Yet, Gran Turismo always has a better touch in terms of simulation, PGR has always been more of an arcade game. My vote goes to Gran Turismo HD till Forza 2 is out to show what it can do.

I just hope they will add a free cam (by rotating the right analog) in GT5, that's what GT series always missed! I hope it will be in GT5.

Reading about GT5 and seeing interviews, the reason it's taking longer is because its creator has very high standards and very high expectations of what a next-gen racer should look like. It will be streets ahead of GTHD...don't you worry. I heard he's been having some crazy ideas...
