If you were speaking as early as last gen. Yeah you could say it was a handful of small ppl online that talk down on certain games but ultimately had no impact on the games sales. Look at Destiny IP. Ppl Talk so much crap about that game post launch and the game still sold like crazy. Same with 2. These days there's a collective whole of ppl who are trying to tear down games by using platforms and followers to do it. Grummz is a perfect example of someone who has been terrorizing the game industry with his rhetoric of "anti-wokeness" and he's been doing this most of this gen along with his retarded followers. Doesn't matter the game he'll go after it if it doesn't fit his agenda and world. he's hurt this industry with fake outrage that spreads like a disease. What does compassion have to do with this? This person needs to realize he’s not living in some fantasy world. This is the real world, and he was involved in a massive failure. No one is obligated to offer compassion for failure just to make others feel better about themselves. The so-called vitriol comes from deeply frustrated people who are tired of the industry producing low-quality content and then blaming gamers instead of the creators. It’s ridiculous.
If the reveal of Marathon has left you a bit perplexed about its setting, the cinematic released today may help explain it in simpler terms.
I still don't understand whose decision it was to make a F2P game that is not F2P. The Streamers will farm it for content after this the game will have way below average numbers.
I dont think the game inherently should be free to play, but maybe would suit it better. Lots of extraction shooters aren't. I know it's not the norm in terms of mutiplayer games anymore with Fortnite, Warzone, Apex, overwatch, etc.
When Sony bought Bungie, I was secretly hoping that they would produce something magical like Halo for the PS consoles. an LS extraction shooter was not I had in mind

They were not going to scrap the game and Sony did not dictate the game to bungie.

not a surprise, if this game flops it would have just been wasted development costs to get a Switch 2 version up and running.
I'm a huge Destiny 2 fan and have been playing those games since the Alpha of D1, but I don't see this game doing that well when you have other titles that have far more experience behind them coupled with plenty being F2P.
