Where Winds Meet is officially launching this year, with a planned closed beta arriving this May on PS5 and PC.
Hanzala from eXputer: "Recently, Soulslikes and Soulslike mechanics in games have become a little too frequent, to the point that I wish for something different."
It's not just you. Honestly, it feels like people have forgotten how to make a regular hack and slash without making it a souls like.
Completely agree. While I do see the draw of the souls like games, as someone with limited time to game, I never play them. I just can't justify spending days trying to fight the same boss and memorize it's patterns. I miss all the old school action adventure games where I could just relax and unwind and maybe change the difficulty if it was too frustrating. Those games seem to few much rarer these days.
Monetization is the biggest problem in gaming. Game writers should do us gamers a solid and not forget that.

To provide an authentic martial arts experience for players, Where Winds Meet invited Stephen Tung Wai, one of the most well-known martial arts instructors in Asia, to design movements for WWM's weapon - Umbrella.

No one interested in this game?
It looks great, the combat and world seem to be much more than was shown here including interesting stealth, NPC interactions and traversal mechanics.
Here is an older video from a year ago, you can really see how the graphics especially the lighting and textures have improved.

I’m interested but I noticed people don’t talk about things unless it’s a big notable name attached. The behemoth psvr2 game also looked amazing no one’s talking about that either.
Wasn’t this game released in China last year?
I can’t tell if this game is great or terrible. Saw some awesome gameplay,.. but also a couple of terrible ones. Its F2P right?
