The haters here will say the opposite. XD Look how well the 7 weeks build of Cyberpunk run on Switch 2. 4k@30(4k@40 with 120hz and vrr) in quality mode docked. Let's see what CPDR can do to the final build.

LucasRuinedChildhood70d ago (Edited 70d ago )

It's not 4K. https://www.nintendolife.co...

It's targeting 1080p docked and 720p in handheld mode. And I could be wrong but I believe it's upscaled to those as I think Digital Foundry mentioned a lower internal resolution.

CrimsonWing6970d ago

Shhhh you’re ruining his narrative with facts!!!

--Onilink--70d ago

Not upscaled, but dynamic resolution.

But yes,
docked:1080p/30 quality, 1080p/40 performance
Handheld: 1080p/30 quality, 720p/40 performance

Still subject to change of course

PapaBop70d ago

Hahaha you think Switch 2 is going to run Cyberpunk in 4k at 30 fps? I think in this case I'd rather be a hater than a deluded optimist.

Dandalandan11770d ago

Of course they wanna board the hype train coz that's were the money is
Give it 2 or 3 years and they'll be releasing lazy half ass version of their games

anast70d ago

They are saying this now. If they aren't deving a platformer, they will be complaining soon enough.

Chocoburger70d ago

Of course they're extremely happy. Every developer on the planet has been desperate to get away from that 2015 mobile chipset. Its a decade old now!

In theory it is expected that a small percentage of some new hardware will break right after it will powereed on, it is the normal life expectancy of a new piece of equipment. So this is not new news.
It would be interesting to see if the overall build quality justifies the premium price. I have my doubts.
the big miss is the lack of OLED screen, which is a not go for me.

MatrixxGT9h ago

How much is a dock for that damn thing if they want $180 to “repair” that one? No way in hell that dock is that expensive.
Nintendo will Nintendo I guess.

Good-Smurf5h ago(Edited 5h ago)

I just looked on their website and they ask $120 for a dock.
Last week I got Switch Lite from Japan for $150.
The price they're asking for a Switch 2 dock is highway robbery.
"Ooh we've put the fan in its high technology that's some cutting-edge shit!"
You'll pay top dollar for plasticky dock with a fan in it.

Damn, glad I got that 3 year Walmart warranty for $49

Don't you already get warranty included though?

Got one as an early Father’s Day gift. Cool little system and the Zelda update makes the games much more enjoyable.

ZeekQuattro9h ago

Honestly whenever I manage to get a NS2 I'm doing another run in TOTK before I play anything else.

SPEAKxTHExTRUTH8h ago

I’ve been having TOTK since launch and only played about 10 hours or so so for me it’s like a whole new game on Switch 2. I’m not really into racing games so I couldn’t care less about Mario Kart. Played it a few times and it just doesn’t do anything for me.
