The Nintendo Switch 2 will run Switch games with performance enhancements, but backwards compatibility will not be supported for all titles.
NE: "There have been some scattered claims going around lately saying that Nintendo is phasing out Diddy Kong, for one reason or another. If you have no idea what we’re talking about, that’s completely understandable."
Prices revealed for all Nintendo Switch 2 Upgrade Packs, coming from both Nintendo and third-parties.
Weird the Jamboree pack being 20 with no new boards or minigames for party mode, way to miss the mark. Minigame variety is seriously lacking for the party mode compared to superstars, my biggest issue with the game, think I'll pass on that.
I wonder if there will be supply issues (unable to find the system). Interesting that they are launching in the middle of the year as well.
SEGA confirms lack of upgrade for Sonic x Shadow Generations on Nintendo Switch 2 from Switch 1 and more.
the new Raidou game from atlus eont allow it either.
but will allow upgrading on ps4 to ps5 for free
I means it's the same company that makes you buy gold versions of games if you want the new content so it checks out.
It also means you have to buy a game key card if you want a physical copy, screwed over either way.
It's time to wake up. Don't support this practice or the price of the games on Switch 2.
this right here has me sold... "Users who have Nintendo Switch Joy-Con controllers and connect them wirelessly to Nintendo Switch 2 can play these games as they would on Nintendo Switch."
I have a really nice Gamecube style pro controller for SW1 and it sounds like i can link it up to the SW2 to play those Gamecube games in style.
I was put off by this at first with how those titles are a paid upgrade and PS4 pro did it for free, but looks like you're getting some extra content at least. And it is confirmed that a some titles are getting free updates for better Switch 2 performance.
Sad they still haven't implemented achievements...
Some are free , some are paid.
