Bethesda Game Studios and MachineGames' Indiana Jones and the Great Circle has become a top-selling pre-order on the PlayStation Store.
Executive Director & Video Game Industry Analyst at Circana (NPD) Mat Piscatella has revealed the PS5 version of Indiana Jones and the Great Circle boosted sales for the game to number one in the US for the week ending April 19.
First and foremost, this must be great for the folks at Machine Games. Well done & congrats!
Xbox making BIG money out of Playstation nation this year!
Oblivion Remaster is already the third biggest release on PS5 this year! Only behind (so far) of Monster Hunter: Wild and Assassins Creed Shadows!
Shadow Dropped!
Zero Marketing!
Instant Success!
Now that Xbox fanboys have accepted that xbox games will be released on PS5 (and Switch 2), Microsoft will be able to release them on Day one from now on. Just had to get people to swallow the pill.
It’s what a good game from a good franchise deserves.
I still think it would have done better if it came out on PS5 day one.
The UK's physical sales charts for last week are here, and it's more good news for Clair Obscur: Expedition 33.
The RPG has debuted at number two, only trumped by Hogwarts Legacy, which has been top for several weeks in a row.
Furthermore, 96 per cent of the copies sold were for PS5 — perhaps not as shocking a statistic when you remember the game launched on Game Pass on Xbox systems, but in the realm of physical sales, that's quite the gulf.
Good! I'm glad Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 got a strong debut. We'll deserved and I hope it continues to sell well.
This is why devs praise being on Game Pass. They know that the Xbox install base won't buy their game anyway, and they get a nice payout upfront. It's a complete win win.
Hogwarts Legacy has remained in first place on the UK retail charts, according to GfK data for the week ending April 19, 2025.
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, following the release of the PS5 version, came in second place.
Astro Bot dropped one spot to third place, while Monster Hunter Wilds remained in fourth place. Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate is up one spot to fifth place and EA Sports FC 25 is up six spots to sixth place.
Playstation owners buy games.
Strange seeing Hogwarts there as I downloaded it for my son from PS Plus a couple of days ago.
2nd on the charts for a game such as Indy ain’t great.
Releasing half year after xbox version probably cooled off some demand.
This is a very good game, deserves the best chance to do well.
The real great performer here is Astrobot. keeping that rate of sales for a last year's game that is not GTAV, CoD and FIFA (now Hogwarts too). outselling MH Wilds and EA FC is kinda wild for Astrobot!
Hogwart's, Indiana, Astro Bot & Monster Hunter - that's a pretty nice top 4 once again.
I bet MachineGames are quite happy about the sales pouring in.
I wouldn't be surprised if this PS5 preorder outsold Xbox preorder.
Well-done Microsoft for making a bold decision and a correct move to go third party.
"Doom: The Dark Ages will be day and date and is lagging behind Forza. I won't be surprised if Indiana Jones surpasses Doom´s preorders as well."
I knew it.

Three Xbox first party games charting BIG on PS Store.
Indiana Jones ahead of Death Stranding 2 is mind blowing!
MS having to restart the development of the PS5 version of Indi just shows how poorly their industry consolidation is going. They tried to ban games from gamers and now they need them to support their titles.
Thousands upon thousands fired to line the pockets of the already wealthy piggies and no new games that weren't already coming. What a disaster MS is for the industry.
Well done Machine Games for making this gem and thank you gamers on PC, PlayStation and Nintendo for keeping the industry going in spite of MS actions.
I kid you not when I say this thing needs to be a GotY contender.
More people on PS5. Maybe Machine Games can get some money out of this.
