A PS2-influenced racer, Rally Arcade Classics does just enough to be interesting but not enough to keep us coming back for another lap
June 2025 is packed with new racing video games releases, as the Switch 2 is set to dominate the discussion.
A new arcade-style rally game is skidding onto PS5 and Nintendo Switch in early June.
If Rally Arcade Classics become a Hit on PS5 this should tell Ea to bring Need for Speed back to Arcade style of racing again and leave open world racing behind...Rally Arcade looks Fantastic . Would love to see Need for Speed like this polished.
This does look like a lot of fun, and developed by a three person team!
Surprised they can get away with those car and livery designs though.
Really wish SEGA would do an arcade collection.
Still boot up my PS3 from time to time to play Crazy Taxi, SEGA rally and Daytona
Tried the demo the other day, this is nothing like Sega Rally, its honestly pretty awful.
sorry but it is no ware nearly as good or anything like Sega Rally, but well done to the 3 people developing it...so keep scratching that Sega Rally itch... installed and played the PS5 demo, and deleted it...
WTMG's Leo Faria: "Rally Arcade Classics features a neat premise that’s a perfect fit for portable gaming PCs and, hopefully at a later date, the Nintendo Switch, but bear in mind that, despite its name, I don’t think it’s particularly “arcadey”. Sure, the physics and controls are more easygoing than any WRC game out there, but the reality is that its campaign is really long and repetitive, demanding way too much dedication from people who were just expecting to grab a little racing game to play a few arcadey rounds. It’s more of an entry-level racing simulator. If that’s fine by you, there’s a lot to like in here. A bit cheap in terms of presentation, and somewhat lacking in polish, but I had my fair share of fun with it. That’s what really matters."
