It's been a long time coming, but at last, the early access version of Wreckfest 2 is here. There's not much to it, but the core experience is sublime. Here's a hands-on preview of Bugbear's finest.
LLC: "Wreckfest 2 is a touch primitive in its current iteration, but what this has proven to me is that there’s a solid chassis underneath the beaten panels."
Wreckfest 2 is currently fairly light on content, to the disappointment to some that have been waiting for the game. A solid core and clear improvements on the physics and graphics from the original are on display now though. If you’re up for playing around in a new derby game, give it a go. But if you’re looking for a more in depth racing derby sim, give it some time to cook. It’s a near guarantee that whenever you decide to jump in, you won’t regret your decision in the end.
Wreckfest 2 is Bugbear's sequel to their 2018 racing and demolition derby game, featuring detailed environments and collision modeling.
The first one was very underrated.
It was a bit hard to get into and was challenging as well but once you get the hang of it, it was a ton of fun.
I felt guilty only playing into it through PSN later on but when it hits PS5 I'll happily pay up
Can't wait for this, loved the first one
I hope it has more than like 5 tracks in the campaign unlike the 1st one. I would've killed for some flatout style racetracks with those physics
