I was really hoping they’d change it to more of a traditional game. I did enjoy Death Strandings, more so for the story and vibe, but I dunno… the whole deliveries mechanic just isn’t compelling to me.

I like doing the deliveries, trying to get perfect feedback, and building up rep with that facility.
Also building up networks of zip lines!

It was crack cocaine for me. I loved DS1 so much. I not only got the platinum,. but I also delivered every single devilery possible in the game. I didn't want to stop playing it.

Same here Luka, one of the rare times where I wanted to keep playing even after I had earned the platinum....its usually the case I am grinding out a platinum and wanting the thing done with, but not with Death Stranding. This video has made me really excited for the sequel and has also made me consider a replay of the first game.

Yea, I understand ... its not for everyone.
IMO, Kojima wanted to create a AAA game devoid of any kind of combat or harm inducing mechanic, hence DS.
But looks like this time, there'd me much shooty bits and as well .... mech combat?

Yea I noticed that, too. Hard to tell since all of that was cutscenes. I mean, there was shooting portions in the first game. While, I don’t particularly enjoy the back and forth of deliveries gameplay loop, the story does look next level, lol.

Makes you wonder what kind of huge mistakes Capcom made using RE Engine for Monster Hunter Wilds.
Death Stranding 2 look a generation or two better and will also runs much better as well.
None of the MH Wilds blocky soupy looking graphics with subpar performance and poor PQ due to terrible AA and Upscaling solutions.
That close-up shot of Luca Marinelli's character in the beginning made me forgot that I was watching a video game it's literally like looking at a real person.

I do hope that this has more gameplay variety. The first one, while still incredibly impressive, consisted so much of just walking.
