MercurySteam, the studio behind Metroid Dread and Lords of Shadows, has a new single-player action game called "Blades of Fire."

Gameplay doesn't look bad but maybe a bit clunky. I loved Lords of Shadow though so I'm hopeful this turns out well.

Yeah, is that the first Castlevania game they did on PS3? That was really good. Found it pretty tough at first, but stuck with it and ended up loving it.
I wanted to buy the DLC but it never got released in Japan.
Never did get to play the one after that.

Yeah it was. Part 2 introduced some weird mechanics and didn't quite measure up to the first, but it was still decent I'd say. I think there was some issues at the time between mercury steam and konami wanting to rush it out, too.

Yeah, I heard the second one wasn't as good.
Seem to remember playing through the first one twice.
