What a terrible take. Avowed isn’t attempting to replicate elder scrolls. Sorry your arrow you shoot in the air doesn’t hit the ground in front of you and you can’t knock shit off tables with your sword. The game is fun and feels finished, take it from someone who actually plays it.

Great game imo and does 1st person combat better than most games that attempts it. Of course people will hate without ever playing it or because it’s a MS game.

I played for about 60 minutes on pc. From what I played it seemed "okay", but i ended up refunding it . I encountered a few soft lock bugs just in the tutorial section which is kinda ridiculous. The first person combat was actually really fun, but ive heard the melee option is the weakest late game so that sucks. I don't care for the story/ lore, so if I do end up buying it again when it's on sale I'll buy it mainly for the combat and roaming around for loot.
