I'm surprised IGN gave the game a 7. When I first laid my eyes on the trailers I always thought the game including the gameplay looked meh. I'm looking forward to the XB console exclusive South Of Midnight.

Microsoft has some of the biggest and best studios in the world churning out some overwhelmingly average games. Something I've noticed more and more since Crackdown 3 shipped.

The problem to me seems to coming from the top.

Microsoft is far to quick to push a game out the door to fill out it's gampass roster instead of crafting a epic game.

The high scores are not being ignored, the point is every average game gets higher scores from certain sites in particular. Metacritic will be in the 70's for one of Xbox's most hyped games of the year.

I am willing to give Obsidian a chance as I remember Alpha Protocol getting massacred in reviews but being secretly excellent (with obvious rough edges). But I am not really feeling this yet.

Alpha Protocol is among my favorite mixed reviews games ever. It had a ton of good ideas but the high levels of jank brought it down.

I was hoping it would be a 9 out of 10 game. When they first revealed the CGI trailer, it gave the impression that it was going to be a next gen Elder Scroll experience then they changed the art direction. I will still play the game at some point when I have the time. Hopefully it gets a VR Mod.

I don't think 7/10 is a bad score at all. The reviewer sounds like they had fun with it but it just didn't knock their socks off. I hope it makes its way to PS5 one day.

It comes out on Feb. 18 on Steam, but the game got leaked on torrent sites today. Who cares it's another game using the shitty stutter engine 5. (UE5). All games using UE5 have issues on PC, now and with future games. Devs know the issues with this engine yet continue to use it, GTFO.

The reviewer not understanding the bears tells me they completely didn't pay attention to the story, which was explained very early on what was going on.
