Some PS5, PS4 Players Are Paying Others to Unlock Platinum Trophies

Here's a service we didn't know was popular among certain groups: paying others to unlock PS5, PS4 Platinum trophies.

Most def. The homie hook up is one thing. I've helped a decent amount of people with trophies via share play.

Sometimes I feel like paying someone to do the annoying braindead grindy trophies that don't take skill, they just take hours and hours and hours of your time doing something completely boring and mundane. I've even thought about paying my little nephew to do the most boring repetitive shit in a game just to get a certain trophy. I love trophies, but I hate those kind of trophies.

As a completionist with an OCD compulsion to 100% games but don’t have all the time in the world to do something NOR the skill, I’d totally pay someone to platinum games like Ninja Gaiden 2 black for me. Like I want that 100% and all the unlocks, but holy smokes Master Ninja is literally unplayable for me. Like, I’m on Ch 4 and it’s taken me to some dark places.

Also, I’d like to have the platinum on FF 10 and 10-2, as well as Arkham City, but then just play it for fun without those trophies hanging over my head.

If you’re not a 100% completionist with a mental compulsion for it, I can see how this doesn’t make sense.

Sony even inspired the idea further with the share play feature on ps4. They were advertising helping friends who’re stuck on a game or helping them progress through, or even helping with trophies.

Helping a friend is one thing. Paying someone to do it for you is another.

Posers will pose. Paying to pose = ultra loser who’s too insecure to game without looking like a winner (in this case hoarding as a flex.) 2x psychological hurdles. Sad.
