I mean, it's a Japanese published title, it's niche, and it's a game, that's 3 things Xbox owners don't buy 🤷‍♂️

Lightning77116d ago

Right because the games sell 10 of millions across other platforms.

isarai116d ago (Edited 116d ago )

Right, so why put it on the lowest selling platform? Especially one that is notorious for anything Japanese published selling poorly compared to every other platform.

Was that supposed to counter my argument somehow? 🤔

@isarai

Why do you keep responding like they cancelled the Xbox version entirely?

Its just the physical version… the game is still coming out on Xbox digitally, and if previous titles are any indication, it will likely be on gamepass too at some point

Easy, What you said is facts, but it's also about building up that audience on Xbox once again. It'll always be the lowest selling platform compared to the other two platforms, no matter what they do but For MS personal goals they can sell more for themselves. Skipping the platform all together doesn't build up awareness or a growth on Xbox things just stay the same.

Every Japanese published game that gambled on Xbox took a loss. How many times before it's just smarter to avoid it?

Chevalier115d ago

Idiots who know nothing about business chirping. No one buys games so why waste time making copies available when it's a guarantee loss?! Same idiots said most Xbox gamers buy digital 🙄 so maybe go buy a digital copy then.

Lightning77116d ago

What loss are you talking about?

Chevalier115d ago

Whats the cost vs benefit then Lightning?! 🤔 You know more than the company that has ALL the sales data?! It's a guaranteed loss when you won't sell enough copies to cover the cost the produce. Absolutely idiotic

Lightning77115d ago

@Chev what do you mean what's the benefit? Everyone gets to play and the Deva get paid. These types of games are multiplat anyway so they get the money. What losses are they reporting here....

Besides there's no physical edition for Xbox that's the news.

No go in the corner and sit your in time out.

It's interesting to see xbox fans suddenly so keen to be inviting everyone to smoke the peace pipe now that xbox has thrown its business down the toilet.
Where were all these peace offerings before?

Profchaos115d ago (Edited 115d ago )

Also the fact that the vast majority of Xbox gamers have digital only consoles out of a population two and a half times smaller than PlayStations install base and 4 times smaller than the switches sealed it's fate almost no one is doing a physical edition for Xbox unless it's a AAA release.

Looking at other projects the recent croc remaster was announced as physical for switch and PS same as tomb raider trilogy and pretty much everything Capcom.

We're lucky Xbox has anything physical anymore things don't look good for Xbox physical and I doubt they will have a disc drive next generation

Stores are barely carrying Xbox games so it makes sense.

Knushwood Butt115d ago

Well, specific to Japan, xbox has zero physical presence.
Physical store selection is shrinking in general, but if I go into a Geo, or my local department store, there is zero xbox hardware or software.
I think it's the same for the big electronics stores like Yamada Denki, but I haven't been in one for a while.
