Elden Ring Nightreign Review - Nightreign isn't merely a multiplayer spin-off; it's a testament to FromSoftware's ability to innovate.
Paul writes: If you have a reliable squad to run Elden Ring Nightreign with, then this is as easy a sell as the original Elden Ring.
Marketing analyst estimates over 2 million units of The Last of Us Part II Remastered sold during HBO Season 2.
If true, this is why Sony keeps making them. A lot of "gamers" might complain or cry about it. But as long as these things keep making money, they will keep doing it and ignore all those complaining online
This isn't an argument for the low-hanging fruit, but this here is exactly why Sony - and others - will keep producing them. Dev costs are low. Profitability is high. It's low risk, high reward. And given the skyrocketing costs in the AAA space, projects like this help fund future titles. I don't like it, and I'd much rather Sony - and others - release new titles, but I sure as hell understand why it happens.
Whats the point of making new games when you can keep releasing old ones 😂 they keep buying so why not?
This is quite astonishing:
"2024 year-to-date, the PlayStation 5 has sold an estimated 18.65 million units, the Nintendo Switch has sold 12.05 million units, and the Xbox Series X|S has sold 4.97 million units."
For PS5, it's still Jan to Mar left for their complete fiscal year.
However, November and December saw the PS5 Pro being available for the first time. And if the estimates for November were approximately correct, then PS5 sold a whopping 4m in that month alone.
In conclusion, PS5 could even exceed its projected goal of 18m units sold in its running fiscal year by the end of Match.
While the Series consoles, which their fiscal year runs until end of June, is on track of barely even reaching 5m units sold globally, if the trend in hardware decline of above 40% year-on-year continues.
Microsoft will benefit from ABK and GP subscriptions I'd claim, no doubt.
And soon Microsoft's Q2 and Sony's Q3 will get released. That's going to be very interesting for a dozen of reasons.
But in terms terms of hardware units sold alone throughout their fiscal years, this truly is a bloodbath compared to PS5.
damn what?
already? very nice.
PlayStation is like the iPhone of video game console.
Wether that’s a positive or a negative I’ll leave that up to you lol.
Sales at this point don’t mean as much. I am happy they done well.. they are mainstream.. they try to expand on ways to play with PSVR2 and PlayStation Portal.. they do a good job there but I can’t be the only one disappointed with the lack of games that this generation has had.
It doesn’t feel as excited this gen.. we had great games but they are just so widely spaced out..
Another gen which will reach 100+ console sales. It's practically part of their DNA.
