What's the story behind the IP ownership here? Not owned by Koei Tecmo, Team Ninja, or whatever Itagaki is doing these days? Curious as to how Platinum ended up developing it.

Koei Tecmo has, does and always will own it. Their logo is literally at the start of the trailer. Platinum is helping develop it. Itagaki is long gone

Day 1. I am starved for a dmc or bayonetta type game.

And while the graphics are dissapointing i just realized that with platinum developing it and their switch development experience that these graphics are to accommodate a 60fps switch 2 version at launch.

NG was probably my favorite game in 2004. However, I never got around to playing NG2 or 3. For those who have played them, do you think it would be worth the time to play 2 and 3 before playing 4 or is sticking with only playing the original before jumping to 4 sufficient? My backlog is growing. Lol

2 or really Sigma 2 are great, the rest I dont think live up to those or the original. But just my opinion.

I dont think its going to matter either way when it comes to playing 4 as its a new story/protagonist. Maybe if you just want to dust off the old reflexes, sure.

I can’t express how happy it made me to see this announced. Like no kidding, I was watching the Phantom Blade Zero trailer and told my friend that it made me wish we had a current-gen Ninja Gaiden… that was yesterday. Today we don’t get just a sequel announcement, but a graphical remake of my favorite entry in the series with Ninja Gaiden II Black!!!

Boys, it’s moments like these that I’m proud to still be with this hobby.
