Halo also has many years of brand equity to withstand negative press. The fanbase has been grown over 4 generations. So that's not really a fair comparison.

Halo Infinite at its core was always a good game. It only lacked regular updates initially. Concord didn’t have much going for itself from the get go. Halo is an established franchise. Conversely, Concord failed to make it as a new IP.

Halo is Halo not a new ip. Everyone knew it would improve and receive additional content. Plus I'm sure the dollars rolled in to give them that motivation. New ips are uncertain and if they don't get that initial support, it's risky to continue investing in it. Not really a fair comparison. Sea of thieves is a better comparison
