Somewhere in this hastily made Xuan Yuan release there's probably a good story. It's hard to find amidst flaws and unexciting game play.

Yeah, it's a shame they didn't take this opportunity to fix the localization. That alone would elevate the game because it actually has a really good story with great characters. However, that heavily depends on the player's understanding of the lore and the franchise, as this is a spinoff.
