Eurogamer writes: "Speaking with CDPR in a new interview this week, Eurogamer asked whether the studio could reassure console owners that they could actually run it - and whether it could run on, say, an Xbox Series S, which as things stand is still required for any game releasing on the Xbox Series X. The developers were a little coy in response."
Cyberpunk 2077 and The Witcher developer CD Projekt revealed strong earnings and details about Project Orion, The Witcher 4, and more.
Cool can't wait for the ps6 release to play the fixed version of this to.
Obviously joking cyberpunk went from a disappointment to me to one of my all time favorites so I trust them but I'm still cautious about their launches
I am hoping we don't have to wait too long for Cyberpunk. I never got into the Witcher.
Overall good news if true. They actually learned from Cyberpunk 2077.
Every one of their projects is either in the concept or pre-production phase while they streamline work flow with UE5 and overcome 'hiccups' with the help of Epic Games.
Reasonable allocation of resources and developers to their different projects. The transparency is a huge plus in my book. This is promising. It's one of the few developers I'd hate to see decline like the rest of once-great AAA studios.
The only thing that stings a little is The Witcher Remake is still in the concept phase. They even took the team working on it to help development on The Witcher 4. So it's not releasing anytime soon.
UE5 cookie cutter content. I'm not terribly excited, even though I love the original CP2077. Sad they abandoned their own engine with a unique look and feel and gave in to Tencent / Sweeney. REDengine held its own.
TNS: Six years after The Elder Scrolls VI was revealed, fans are still in the dark, left only with that teaser and unanswered questions.
It's baffling how this company goes about their business. Releasing a teaser trailer six years ago for a game that only began production a year or so ago. Wtf are they doing over there, the length of time they are taking over new releases of beloved properties is insane.
All Bethesda cares about is fallout 76 and elder scrolls online, both of which are garbage. Unfortunately, they have their sheep fans playing who keep paying for in game content enough to keep it worth it for Bethesda to keep them going while the rest of the fan base suffers.
The Witcher 4 aims to continue CD Projekt Red's tradition of dark, mature RPGs with difficult decisions and complex side quests.
Cyberpunk 2077 ran on a base PS4, but we all saw how that went. Here's hoping this is actually optimized.
It will run really well guys...
than Sony will remove it from the store.
Sure they can run it, it'll probably look or run like crap though. The "Definitive versions" will be next gen (PS6, Xbox Two Series Y)
It will run surprisingly well.
I mean, people were saying that STALKER 2 was going to look and run terribly on the Series S. Similar situation here - Open world, large scale action, Unreal Engine 5, and it actually looks nice and runs fine on the system. If the Series S is the bottle-neck, it really comes down to optimization. It really can handle Unreal Engine 5, and that's what most devs are shifting to for the foreseeable future.
