"The Bellevue-based (Washington, the US) indie games publisher tinyBuild and Atlanta/Los Angeles-based (the US) indie games developer Redemption Road Games, today announced with great joy and thrill that their medieval sandbox action/strategy game “Kingmakers“, is coming to PC via Steam in Q1 2025." - Jonas Ek, TGG.
Redemption Road Games showed up during this year's Spring Showcase to provide an overview of Kingmakers. In this anachronistic siege simulator, you take on knights with modern weaponry and drive trucks through cavalry fields. It's coming to PC in 2025.
Richard Bailey Jr. of The Koalition writes: Yesterday morning, Day of the Devs revealed 19 upcoming indie games as part of their Game Awards Edition 2024 digital showcase. While every game looked uniquely interesting, 5 key titles piqued my interest.

Seems like a new Viking: Battle for Asgard game mixed with Dynasty Warriors. I think the main concern for this kind of game is will it be repetitive. Slicing through endless armies as an OP player character never worked out long term for me. It gets old real fast. I'm not going to give a free pass just because it isn't taking itself seriously either.
This looks like it's going to be a lot of dumb fun. The same sort of power fantasy that Darkest of Days offered. Just hoping it ends up a better game in general lol
