Mortal Kombat 1 Story Expansion 2 Getting Canceled Is Totally Reasonable

Mortal Kombat 1 story expansion 2 and Kombat Pack 3 are canceled as the plans for year 3 are all thrown away. However, I think that's ok.

I think the main problem with MK1 is that the general consensus is that
1; It’s simply not as good a game as Mortal Kombat 11 was in most aspects. Not story, not roster, not the amount of SP content, etc, and the overly greedy monetization has also been criticized by the fanbase. The DLC-characters themselves also feel less interesting than those in MK11.

2; It also not as good as the competition. Both Street Fighter 6 as well as Tekken 8 have received unanimous praise for how good they are, vast improvements over SF5 and Tekken 7. In comparison, Mortal Kombat feels like it ‘stalled’ a bit, or in some ways even took some steps backwards.

Yea, I already paid for the stupid expensive edition and then they ask for an additional, what was it $40 - $50 for this expansion? Like, whatever they’re smoking to make them think a lot of people would support that must be a hell of a drug.

Greed will kill a franchise.

Gamers who buy the ultimate editions should stop. Wait until the content is released and If it's worth it pay extra few bucks. Steam has recently said they will be implementing season pass changes. Now publishers must give a window for when the DlC will release, what will be included in the Dlc and if it's delayed more then 3 months they could issue refunds. We need better consumer protections

Didn't hear about the steam change. That's awesome! Another reason to love what steam does.

You should honestly be able to get a refund if anything about the pass changes as well.

It's so sad. Omniman and Homelander are cool and all but you need a legend like Robocop.

If I were NetherREalm studios, I would have added Jeff Sokol from to catch a predator using pizza themed weapons and maybe a super mario sculpture.

If you keep listening to the vocal minority and making these characters so different from what fans know them for there will be backlash. Plesse stop ruining good franchises with bad choices during development
