They told us about this a few weeks ago. My first GT or something like that.

It's part of the playstation 30th anniversary celebrations.

I’m skeptical, mostly because I expect it to simply have a bunch of micro-transactions in there to buy yourself towards the complete experience, except, of course, far more expensive than if you’d just buy the whole game as-is.

But, we’ll see. Perhaps it’s ‘just’ a glorified’ demo (which GT7 currently doesn’t have, outside demo-stations in stores), and maybe it will have free online MP for those who don’t have PS+, but we’ll have to wait and see.

Personally never picked up GT7. Played GT Sport last gen and didn’t care all that much for it, gameplay-wise, which felt too ‘sterile’ to me. GT7 is supposedly much better than Sport, but the game remaining around 70-80 euro meant I never bothered giving it a try.

It’s currently (finally) around 40 due to Black Friday, so I’m slightly tempted, but I think I’ll still skip it.

Don't skip it. Pick it up and dive deep into it if you love racing sims, with all the free updates so far and stuff to do you'll be playing it for a whole year.

rippermcrip153d ago

You're skeptical because apparently you expect a full blown game for free?

derek153d ago

Skip it if you must but GT7VR is easily the greatest racing game I've ever played. Completing a race on the Nüburg for example is so incredible in terms of the sense of speed and immersion.

70-80€?

Right now, at least here in EU, a deal popped up with GT7 disc version for 25€.

''Personally never picked up GT7.''
You're missing out, it looks and play incredible and the new update with Ray tracing is amazing especially on the Pro.
This is captured directly from PS5 Pro 4k/Ray Tracing HDR and uploaded to YouTube. It's a beauty even with YTube's ugly compression.

Careful saying that kinda stuff on n4g... The ponies are celebrating their 30th anniversary, please don't upset them.

Ryzza5153d ago

If they did it would make sense to begin with a free demo to iron out the bugs, similar to Go Forza 6 Apex edition.

Sgt_Slaughter153d ago (Edited 153d ago )

I doubt they want to enter that market given the sheer amount of already quality full-on racing sims that are on PC currently (AC, ACC, RaceRoom, iRacing, rFactor 2, AM1, AM2, soon to be AC2, old titles like RBR, NR2003, RF1, etc.)

Not to mention they would not have mod support, which is one of the biggest benefits to PC racing games.

TheColbertinator153d ago

I disagree. GT7 would be welcomed on Steam any time. ACC and rFactor are all brilliant but another addition on PC is appreciated.

Dudeson153d ago

That would be nice, would love to play it in pc vr.

This is a great if it happens

The Aston Martin Vintage?

Does the senior product manager not proofread?

Wish they'd put a couple of endurance races in. Every time there's an update I have the cars and the events finished in 30 mins

"The next-generation racing AI agent, Gran Turismo Sophy has evolved into “GT Sophy 2.1” and is now available in ‘Custom Race’ (PS5 version only)

‘GT Sophy’ can now be selected as the rival AI in Custom Race on all GT Sophy supported tracks and layouts in World Circuits."

This should be fun to play with.
