Yes yes yes. Square for some reason still don't see the appeal of turn based despite many games and indies do so well. Really baffles me.
Persona 5 and its re-releases, Shin Megamit Tensei V, and Metaphor are all standout examples as well. I don't know what the sales for the latter 2 were, but they were critically-acclaimed. Granted, they were also all released by 1 studio, but you get what I mean. Your examples count as well.

Xenogears I want more than any other game I can think of. Hell I'd buy it with bare minimum upgrades at this point. I just want the option to play it on current gen hardware.

Square I know how to do it. Bring back legend of dragoon, make turn based mainline ff again, keep DQ traditional. Easy money right there.

Playing WuKong right now and I would put it on this years list best games. I wouldn’t trick it at the top but towards the top. It’s pretty damn good. I’d kick off World of Warcraft as I hated it when it came out, a too easy version of Everquest with cartoony style.
yea its ridiculous how, since weve entered the hd era of games, that all of a sudden the ingame text has shrunken to a size where no one can read them
Thank goodness my eyesight is still great at 40. I've played games where I did adjust the font in handheld form but this game wasn't one of them thankfully. Blame it on playing through 11S and 9 again recently so lots of practice. 🤣
