Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 lets you leave the plane to explore the environment around you, but it doesn't really tell you how to do it.

WTF, people are struggling currently just to get on the plane and in the air. MS needs to scrap this shitty streaming model and allow people to download the game.

Works perfectly on my side. And it's awesome. Sure. Some are having server problems, but server issues at launch are nothing new for online games. They'll be fixed.

The "shitty streaming model" is literally the only way something like this is achievable.

It's easy to spot out the people who don't understand how this game works. They promised 4000x's the terrain detail from 2020's version due to AI learning that is shared on the fly across the network with other players. It literally is not possible without this streaming model.

If you hate it, go play 2020 version with rolling cache of real world mapping turned off, and just enjoy your generic boxy buildings.

With that said, I am waiting personally for the growing pains, the support for larger volumes of players is increased.

The issue is not the "shitty streaming model", it was the server readiness for such masses of people.

Glad to hear you're enjoying it Abriael. MS Flight Sim 2020 was my most played title in VR to date. No way I'm missing this one, but i will wait until the kinks are rolled out.

Very well said OtterX. Hope you enjoy it when you grab it. It's awesome 👍

Yeah they should definitely let people download it all locally. They're actively avoiding the market of people who have 2.5 PB (2500TB) of storage space to dedicate to one game

👆 Lol, this right here! So true @Amplitude! 🤣
