Each new generation brings players who may not have had the previous generation. Demon Souls remake is far better than the PS3 version. Regardless, Xbox can’t even cobble together a decent game exclusive on its platform. Xbox have given up.

They said before the start of this financial year that there would be no major first party releases this year and they still released Astrobot and several excellent third part exclusives, such as Stellar Blade. They have already said that for the rest of the PS5s life we'll have multiple flag ship first party releases every year. 2024 just happened to be a year where nothing was ready to release, yet I still had masses to play

I've played 20+ games only on PS5 console wise that aren't remasters. That's why people bought it, not for remasters.

Yes remasters, concord but also Rebirth, Stella Blade, Rise of the Ronin, helldiver 2, Astro bot, Wukong, Granblue Fantasy, Silent Hill 2…..at the very least it has been an eventful year in terms of games and I tend to believe that’s the reason you buy a console. You add some multi platform on top and this year has been one fantastic in my opinion.

I really don't disagree on that. Fantastic hardware, honestly. But I still maintain that on the software side of the equation, I think it's the weakest PlayStation has ever had.

To be fair to PS5, I probably have nostalgia goggles on and I am older now.

Just the speed of loading my favourite PS4 games at the time was and still is worth the entry fee alone especially the fast travel in games like the division 2

Well deserved sony, it would be nice if they'd stop getting the big head tho, hopefully more gems release next year give us a surprise title. Show us playstation still not afraid of releasing a thoroughly made new ip
