Pretty to look at but painfully dull and frustrating to play, Empire of the Ants's single-player campaign has none of the depth of the multiplayer and packages bad AI with boring missions and a meandering story.
"Empire of the Ants has me assume control of a brave little ant as it helps its colony. Tackle the harsh world of mother nature in this new strategy game by Tower Five." Kyle @ Thumb Culture
XBA says: A highly ANTicipated RTS full of the good kind of bugs.
WTMG's Leo Faria: "I think that the best way I can describe Empire of the Ants is to compare it to a BBC biology documentary. Sure, it’s boring, but the presentation and delivery make the product feel more interesting than it really is. It’s a jaw-dropping gorgeous experience with an additional layer of scientific research and information to be delivered to whoever plays it. As a strategy game, sure, I’ve played much better games. I also don’t think I’ll ever play this game again. But I didn’t regret tackling it. Just like a documentary voiced by David Attenborough, it’s not something you would ever consider to be one of your favorites, but it’s interesting enough to keep you amused for a substantial amount of time."
What?!? ah shit!!
Damn, I had high hope of it...
ehhhm, im having a blast with it.
i guess ign being ign again.
a 3/10 is .. i mean. we've had worse with better scores.
It has 77 on metacritic with 17 reviews. Don't see this s the average just because it's IGN.
If the Ants had pronouns, it may of got a more favourable review.
