In a post at Race Sim Central, Codemasters community guy Rich Tysoe said this about the physics engine: "no carry-over code from previous CMR games at all so physics and damage is all-new (and very nice)."

My guess is that in the upcoming weeks we'll see some video from it, maybe old engine vs new engine. There's definately potential based on this single image.
