Life is Strange: Double Exposure Review - IGN

IGN: "Excellent writing and exceptional characters make this a worthy sequel to the 2015 original."

Shame it's reviewed kinda low overall. Only cost me £35 so it won't cost anything once I'm done I guess if I don't enjoy it. I enjoyed #2 though so I'm sure I will

This is this guy's first ever review for IGN. I expect him to continue his generous scores going forward. IGN reviews are usually on the harsher side. This game has a 74 metacritic. I loved the 1st game but I'm going to wait to play this one. Maybe until it's practically free somewhere

Im more willing to believe this game is a 9 compared to DA veilguard. The LiS games have always been good and wholesome to play

ill wait for a sale or watch it online.

the story is basically the same the first game had.

From the sound of how it sold, Double Exposure could very well not get the sequel it's hoping for.

Cause it's from the og creators, Don't Nod knows how to make these games. Life is Strange is bait from a company that doesn't care for the series.

I think most people just don't want more Life is Strange games. It's a niche market. Very niche.

Eonjay115d ago

I totally agree. Or at least slow down with the releases. Ubisoft has done so much damage to
Assassin's Creed simply by releasing too many of them.

The first LIS had an interesting and novel gameplay mechanic that made it stand out. The subsequent ones are just interactive stories, with less and less interesting gameplay, from what I found when I played them. So, when a new one comes out, I am not nearly as interested in playing another one of what will likely be the same, but just more.

I agree. I thoroughly enjoyed 1, BtS and TC. That was enough, I have no interest in seeing Max again, her story was told.

Shouldn't they be asking this to the people that decided not to buy it?

anast115d ago

If they don't know why their sales are poor and weren't able to project this, they need to look internally.

I loved LiS 1 and 2, played the second one with my teenage daughter and it was heartwarming. However, I found 3 to be very slow and it required more commitment to get involved I think. We only played the first chapter.
