Eurogamer writes: "For instance, Quality Mode benefits from more than a 30 percent increase in FPS, delivering smoother, more fluid gameplay. Additionally, Performance Mode now supports full native 4K resolution, allowing players to enjoy stunning visuals without sacrificing responsiveness," the developer said."
The upcoming Overture DLC for Lies of P sounds like a game unto itself, not unlike FromSoftware’s recent massive Elden Ring add-on.
So excited for this. Lies of P is in my top 3 souls games and that is including games made by FromSoft
Elden Ring
Dark Souls 3
Lies of P
Bloodborne
Keep telling myself I’m gonna go back and grab the platinum in Lies of P before the DLC but there are an unreasonable amount of incredible games releasing this year lol
Played pretty much all the big souls games out there and ”all” from soft titles but didn’t enjoy the demo of lies of P. Does the game get a lot better (mostly environment wise)?
Publisher NEOWIZ and developer Round8 Studio have released the story trailer for Lies of P downloadable content expansion “Overture,” which is due out this summer.
The Lies of P DLC is targeted for release in Q1 2025, as the dev team's next project has been confirmed to be a survival-horror game.
It is not often when you see a DLC for a game that released over a year ago and won’t drop closer to 2 years after release. I still haven’t played the game. I own it now but I haven’t got to it yet. Soon though

So apparently at the moment the PS5 Pro can´t handle Quality mode at 60fps for LoP, a UE4-powered game. 30%? More likely 40fps on quality mode. Hopefully uncapped so the game might benefit from VRR compatible TVs and monitors.
"Full native 4K resolution" for Performance mode? More likely 4K upscaling via PSSR.
I´m curious to see what Game Science has in store for UE5 powered games like their BMW on PS5 Pro. I´m expecting a performance more akin to PC quality this time around.
Technically, there's one PS5 game that natively supports 8K 60 FPS called The Touryst which came out in 2021. It's not graphicly impressive compared to the likes God of War: Ragnarök but is impressive none the less given it's specs. It reminds me of 3D Dot Game Heroes
Looks like they are not using PSSR. Just the additional gpu power. Maybe they dont want to invest time implementing PSSR.
