Contrary to the linear, story driven titles developed by Naughty Dog, the studio's next game will apparently offer a lot of "player freedom".
Recent evidence we discovered indicates that the next game in the Just Cause series may have been canceled, potentially two years ago.
Sony's Bend Studio lays off 30 percent of its workforce following the cancellation of its live-service project.
Urgh. Jim Ryan’s sh***y GaaS plans still ripple across their studios even today.
Such a shame, they should have just been allowed to make Days Gone 2.
Sony need to truly let go of their live service plans once and for all.
Sony literally sent Playstation studios into a death trap!
They forced studios into this GaaS bs just cancel their games midway in development and fire thousand of people in the end!
WTF is happening over there? Why those CEOs still got to keep their jobs after billions and billions dollars invested in new studios and games just to so many developers fired and projects canceled in the end?
This is the worst generation of Playstation! Period!
Can't believe Sony has been shooting themselves in the foot this gen. Abandoning what made them great to chase industry trends

If it’s an rpg I’ll shit myself. I won’t be disappointed if it isn’t an rpg but if it is I’ll be more than happy about it. Either way ND makes amazing games.
Please Naughty Dog, don’t be another Sony studio pumping out 3rd person open world RPG like. They’re fine but we have GoT, Spiderman, Horizon and Days Gone so that’s enough. Sony, don’t become Ubisoft just making the same game in different settings. Naughty Dog, please be good at what you’re the best at, nobody wanted your multiplayer game either, suck it up and make Last of Us 3, Uncharted 5 or a Lost Legacy sequel.
While we’re at it, how about Sony if one of your huge number of studios gets to work on a first person single player game in the vein of Titanfall 2, Killzone, Resistance or even one of the PS3 era COD MW campaigns. If you really must make it 3rd person, bring back Socom or if you want, making a sequel to a Vita game worked well with Helldivers so maybe Unit 13 has some potential.
Please give us a game that doesn't leave us feeling like someone kicked our dog into traffic this time. I'm missing some of the lightheartedness of Jak and Uncharted.
I think the open level in Uncharted 4 and TLOU2 are the sweet spot but I don’t want to see another open world game. Some studios just do better with a more linear story based chapter approach.
We have a lot of AAA open world games these days
