SNK's bankruptcy brought the iconic Capcom vs. SNK series to a halt. But the company is back from the dead and is collaborating with Capcom again, setting the stage for the series' return.
Gamers saw a rekindling of the Street Fighter franchise in 2008 with the series' fourth installment, and then a similar story with Marvel vs. Capcom just three years later.
With SNK releasing King of Fighters 14 back in 2016, and Capcom games chugging right along as they are, perhaps 2018 is the perfect time for yet another melding of the two.
A Capcom vs. SNK 3 would surely bring a few old school competitors out of the woodwork, and the current FGC boom has tons of new faces that would certainly be open to trying out such a title, especially after hearing the praises seasoned FGC members sing for the series.
Only if they add other characters from each universe.
Capcom should add characters from games like the final fight series, sfa series, captain commando and street fighter.
And SNK should add from games like world heroes, garou, rage of the dragons, ninja masters and king of fighters.
But I would love another one.
Funny how Tekken 7 is the first game in a long while where a Capcom character and an SNK character can do battle again after more than a decade
Is it about time? It’s long overdue. And while we’re at it, where the hell is Soul Calibur???
A while back, Capcom promised us gamers a big announcement around the time of the new SSF game's release, and this could be it. Supposedly, pictured on a leaked edition of Famitsu, is news of a new Capcom sequel scheduled for a release in 2012. Follow the link for more details...
As the sweaty sand falls through the crack of my hands, I understand the April Fools thing.
For the love of all that is Holy please allow this to really come to fruitation, but don't make it look like SFiV, keep the hand drawn sprites.
In an interview with Jeux-Actu, Street Fighter IV producer Yoshinori Ono commented on the possibility of Capcom reconsidering the development of Capcom vs. SNK 3. In the interview Yoshinori Ono recalls Capcoms firm focus of unwavering fans of fighting games.
I think that if they put this game in it's classical 2-D style on the Wii, 360, and PS3, that it would sell like Wild-Fire. Especially a Wii version! with Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection.
YEA im putting this one right next to the marvel vs capcom 3.......we all want both but i doubt they will ever make either. F*cking c*ck teasing.
This time, let SNK take the lead in their style of animation. I love what Capcom did but I want to see it the other way. Oh and dont forget about Tekken X Street Fighter.
I’d love a Capcom vs Sega, actually. Streets of Rage, Shenmue, Virtua Fighter, Yakuza, Shinobi, Valkyria Chronicles, Golden Axe, Persona perhaps, etc.
Can't wait for the next collection. Last couple of years have been great if you liked / like old school fighters.
